To write about yourself, a field of knowledge you should be an expert on, is sometimes the hardest. On the one side you don't want to be boring - "hi, i'm Mari and i'm 26" but on the other side, this is quite important.

 

Well, the boring part is that I really am 26, studied BA Visual Art: Visual Communication Design at the University of Stellenbosch, was an Au Pair for a year and then studied some more. I did my postgraduate certificate in education through UNISA and my main subjects was obviously Art and Culture, Design and Afrikaans (like you also haven't realised that I am inlove with my home language). I've been a teacher from the start of 2015.

 

The truth is however that secretly I'm still 7 years old. (definitely only in the inside - frog jumps and monkey bars are no joke!) I've learned more things in my life from children than from lecturers and educated people. I believe you should do what you love and if you're not always sure what that is, you should see it as your duty to never stop searching for it.
